You wonder why drugs have side effects? Or why this particular side effect of antipsychotics?

I'm not very technical answer * * Why is there a side effect for the types of drugs. Although the CPS does not go into much detail, in general.

All medicines have side effects of any kind organs are complex structures and drugs / medicines in relation to the smaller cell levels. Anything you put in your body is bound to have some effect, can cause a change in any way.

The rule of thumb - if the side effects caused more problems than the desired effect repair "it's time to try something else.

They believe that with antipsychotic drugs cause weight gain, due to its effect on histamine and serotonin. Not all antipsychotic drugs cause metabolic syndrome. Geodon and Abilify are classified as "neutral."
